March is the perfect time to get you all hyped up about the season change and what better way than to introduce the Spring Makeup Trends, ready for you to take these on board and adapt your makeup routines…

On the catwalk for Spring 2018, the main trends we saw were;
Statement Eyeliner
Eye Art
Nude Lips
Glowing Skin
Raspberry and Blurred Lips

Heres the more individual trends that are worth the read…

EYELINER -
Graphic Liner - This look usually appears in the winter, its more like an art of eyeliner, it can be applied basically anywhere on the eye area in whatever shape you like.
Winged Liner - Was BACK this season, we saw lots of flicks and cat eyes to make the eye shape appear feline.
Glitter Liner - They also applied glitter baked on top of the winged liner, thats our summer nights out sorted.
White - White waterlines where also seen, this helps the eyes appear more open and brighter, but don't pair the liner trends with this one.
Smudged - Brown pencil liner on the upper lash line was also popular, with its smudged effortless effect gave the simple looks more edge.
Colours - Teal and Greens were the popular shades this season, with these tones looking more striking and suiting many eye colours.

EYE LOOKS -
Soft Grey Shadow - Usually a colour that I avoid with lots of my clients and grey tones can really dampen a fresh look, so be careful when you use these shades, try and pair them with more.
Crystals - These were applied to 'match' the models eye colour, and i actually really loved this idea, maybe people will switch this up with their pigments/glitter eyes.
Clumpy Lashes - One that most people hate, but the makeup artists were literally pinching these lashes together after applying the mascara, no false lashes were seen this season ladies.
Pinks and Reds - Swaying from the oranges but these tones of course have stuck around! Such a popular shade when it comes to applying eye makeup. The contrast of these colours really do look amazing on all eye colours.
Gold Glitter - It was all about the golds this season, but were not used in the way you would expect, these glitters were mainly applied on the outer lash line, as well as through the centre of the eye lid (this application was more like a streak down the centre, which did look really effective). They also carried the line down under the lower lashes.

SKIN
Yellow Gold Highlighter - Thanks to RiRi, the yellow bright highlighters were popping all over the shows, this is definitely a more statement look as the yellow gold cant be as disguised in the lighting like normal highlighters, so try to use the gold highlight on more minimal looks.
Peach Blush - Blusher took a back seat this season, whereas normally I find a bright blusher is always incorporated into many looks, but they kept it minimal with a warm peachy tone, which is easily adaptable to our daily makeup.
Light Nude Lip - Kylie Jenners brown nudes are now getting lighter for this season, we were pretty much going back to the 2000's with the foundation toned lip (don't tell me you cant remember this trend) luckily we haven't gone that light but very pale nude lips were seen at the shows which paired great with the statement eyes - the lips were also more balmy, so not matte, but not high gloss either.
Glowing Skin - Of course Spring isn't Spring without a glow! Its the time that we all want to look healthy and radiant naturally! So stock up on those illuminators and change up your skin routine!!

LIPS
Raspberry Lipstick - Simple shades of raspberry pinks were all over the catwalk, pairing beautifully with the popular eye trends.
Stained/Blurred Lips - One that was bound to make an appearance, throughout winter we saw sneak peaks of the Spring show looks, and blurred lips were a massive talk, with the models looking as if they have smudged lipstick all over the mouth… I cant see this being an everyday hit.
