Us ladies are known for out Mary Poppins bags at the best of times, but with fashions changing every season, or the smaller our travel distances we need to go; we don't need our whole beauty drawer in our bags!
Or do we?
Well im going to narrow down my 5 must-have items that we can use for multiple things when we are on the go.
I have also added snaps of my favourite products for each must-have.
Lets start with;
Lip Balm/Cream
You should really be applying your lipliner before you leave the house, lip liner is the one lip product that pretty much stays put for around 8 hours, even through food and drinks.
If you are applying this, then adding your lip colour, a balm top up throughout the day would keep your lip colour lasting whist also conditioning and giving a subtle glow to your lips.
Tip - This can be also used as an instant hydration on any dry patches on our skin that may arise at any time.
Pressed Powder
Put it this way, we don't want loose powder exploding in our beautiful bags.
Be sure to invest in a pressed compact powder - ideally 'Translucent' in colour, so that your top up powder will just be transparent, so you don't need to worry about reapplying your blush or highlight, translucent happily blends with your skin and makeup tones that are already applied.
It of course keeps our oils at bay, we all have this problem no matter what skin type.
Tip - Try applying your powder over as a setting product over your lipliner before applying your lipstick
Face Mist
I love a good Face Mist, and one that is fine enough to invisibly settle onto the skin and instantly doing the work for you.
Hydration is key for your skin, to achieve the flawless makeup, so without moisture our skin turns into a cracked sponge and no makeup sits nicely i'm afraid.
So if your someone who sways from overnight oils or overly hydrating face creams, then be sure to be spritzing throughout the day to keep benefiting our skin and makeup with hydration - its the easy way.
It also is a great makeup setter, face primer base and refreshing spray in the hotter temperatures.
Tip - Be sure to apply your powder first if so, then spritz up.
Hand Cream
One that is more important than you think. Our hands go through more exposure than our feet (walking/standing through the day)
Yes our hands are being used for everything, as well as being washed multiple times so no wonder we are loosing moisture and getting dry and cracked areas on our hands
Tip - If your skin/face is extra dry, apply your hand cream and lightly press into the face/area for the warmth of our contact to sink into the skin softer.
Hair Oil
One thats not always considers, but its one of my favourites…
Our hair cuticles are our least smooth areas as time goes on, the raise and dry out very quickly, so touching up your hair ends a couple of times a day will keep the hair sleek and tamed, even those little flyaways can be smoothed down, instead of using hairspray.
Be aware to not over do the amount, of oil, we don't want the greasy looks.
Tip - They come in mini sizes which are the perfect amount to carry.
What cant you live without in your handbag of goodies?
